The special feature of free cooling is that it starts as soon as the outside temperature is below the cooling supply temperature. Then the heat transfer between the ambient air and the chilled water starts, which in turn reduces the need for electrical power and increases the energy efficiency of the technical building services of the shopping center in Germany.
