The new AMONUM Air chiller arrives in spring 2025!

A new era of excellence begins at the start of 2025: our AMONUM Air impresses with natural refrigerant, the simultaneous use of Green Heat Recovery and outstanding efficiency. The series is therefore predestined for many sectors - and is helping the manufacturing industry, the food industry and technical building equipment, for example, on their way to climate neutrality.

Your benefits with the AMONUM Air chiller

Designed for the future: AMONUM Air is based on our proven, modular QUANTUM Air platform. As an air-cooled chiller, it is designed for refrigerant outlet temperatures between -15 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius - and thanks to its compact design, it is ready for direct connection. You benefit from four basic models in a power range from 400 to 1,500 kilowatts at 12/7 degrees Celsius and an air inlet temperature of 35 degrees Celsius.

 

Choosing our AMONUM Air means choosing one of the most environmentally friendly refrigerants available: the natural refrigerant ammonia (R-717) used has neither ozone depletion potential nor global warming potential - and is therefore not subject to the F-Gas Regulation. It is also highly efficient and cost-effective. Ammonia has proven itself in use for many decades; the specialised companies are certainly familiar with its handling. ENGIE Refrigeration is no exception: due to the specific properties of ammonia, we have minimised the filling quantities in the AMONUM Air chillers.

This is technology that impresses: We have developed our AMONUM Air chiller on the technological basis of QUANTUM Air and SPECTRUM Water - and based it on the latest EMSR hardware and software architecture. Semi-hermetic, speed-controlled screw compressors with integrated oil management enable infinitely variable control of the cooling capacity - customised to your individual requirements. The chiller also scores highly with microchannel heat exchangers for both the condensers and free cooling. What's more, AMONUM Air is considered to be technically leak-proof in the long term if regular servicing is taken into account. This means that you benefit from maximum system safety, a key aspect when using the natural refrigerant ammonia.

"Efficiency first" is ENGIE Refrigeration's credo for all our chillers and heat pumps - and therefore naturally also for the new AMONUM Air chiller. It is characterised by maximum energy efficiency: We achieve its high seasonal efficiency on the basis of the proven control concept of the QUANTUM Air series. Optimally harmonised technology components and the latest EMSR hardware and software architecture - such as EER Auto Control - work together to ensure highly efficient machine operation. With AMONUM Air, we support MEP planners, investors, industrial planners and managers in industrial companies, energy suppliers, local authorities and municipal utilities on their path to climate neutrality - purposefully and reliably.

At ENGIE Refrigeration, we attach great importance to individual customer requirements. That's why we offer the new AMONUM Air chiller with a wide range of variants. These include the integrated Green Heat Recovery (GHR) for heat recovery, which is based on the tried-and-tested QUANTUM Air platform in the standard version. A brand new addition is the High Temperature GHR, which enables AMONUM Air to achieve heat transfer medium outlet temperatures of up to 70 degrees Celsius. GHR and High Temperature GHR can be used simultaneously. This allows users to utilise the waste heat simultaneously at two different temperature levels and in two separate hydraulic circuits. Free cooling, a hydraulic module, the "Low Noise" or "Super Silent" sound packages and oil and glycol collection systems round off the range. The chillers can also be connected to our Digital Cloud Services, ensuring even higher system availability thanks to predictive maintenance - for even more excellent service from ENGIE Refrigeration.
